Open Water Diver
Are you ready to start a new adventure that will take you into the aquatic world? Join us and get your scuba diving certification with the Open Water Diver course, the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba diving course. Our instructors are certified by internationally recognized scuba diving organizations such as Padi, and SSI.
The Open Water Diver course consists of three parts:
- Dive Theory: This course teaches the basic principles and skills for scuba diving.
- Confined Water Dives (Pool): Consists of working and developing dive related skills in the pool, (if the pool not possible, we will accomplish this part of the class at a beach location).
- Open Water Dives (Ocean): Consists of four (or more) open water dives to refine your skills in the ocean.
What Is Included, and How Many Students in Each Class
Group Classes: 6-8 Students.
Semi-Private Classes: Up to 5 Students.
Private Classes: 1 Student Only. The Private Classes are for people that desire to be taught more personally in a very small class setting.
Note: For our customers that are coming to us as individuals, and do not necessarily desire a “Private Class”, we will pair you up with other students to constitute a Semi-Private Class which is up to 5 students.
Note 2: Study Materials are not included in the price.
Cost
- Group Classes (6-8 Students): $685.00 per individual.
- Semi-Private Classes (Up to 5 Students): $785.00 per individual (See Note Below)
- Private Classes (1 Student Only): $1,085.00 for one or two individuals per class. The Private Classes are for people that desire to be taught more personally in a very small class setting.
Note: For our customers that are coming to us as individuals, and do not necessarily desire a “Private Class”, we will pair you up with other students to constitute a Semi-Private Class which is up to 5 students.

Class Locations
- Confined Water Pool Sessions: USD Pool, (if the pool not possible, we will accomplish this part of the class at a beach location).
- Open Water: La Jolla Shores, San Diego California or Mission Point Park, San Diego California.
Advance Booking Required
- 7 Days in advance.
Payment Requirements
- Full Payment is required before the scheduled course. We will give priority to the student(s) on a first come (or pay), first serve basis. So whoever pays first will get scheduled on the requested dates.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Classes are fully refundable 72 hours prior to the class start date.
- Classes cancelled within 72 hours of the class start date will incur a $300.00 fee.
- Classes rescheduled by the student within 72 hours of the class start date will incur a $200.00 fee.
- There are NO REFUNDS if:
- The class has begun.
- Clients(s) decide to cancel or quit BEFORE course is entity completed. We will give youa referral form on what was completed up until the time of cancellation.
- Clients(s) do not show up to the dive appointment without any proper notice.
**NOTE: ** San Diego Scuba Pros will give every reasonable consideration to unforeseen events, such as family emergencies, illness, accidents, and similar circumstances. Partial refunds and/or rescheduling options may be available. Cancellation fees may also apply, depending on the nature and severity of the event.
