Discover Scuba Diving

3. Lando took my son and my friend's son on their first scuba diving adventure doing the Discover Scuba course. We went in Mission Point Park in "confined water" on a Saturday morning. My friend Kevin and I who had previously certified as PADI Advanced Open Water (many years ago) hired tanks from San Diego Scuba Pros and then enjoyed being back in the water ourselves whilst hovering around watching Lando and the kids. Lando was great - made us all at ease and relaxed and was very good and patient with the kids in teaching them some basics of scuba diving. The kids are now keen to do the PADI Open Water certification and we will look to book this with Lando in the near future! Snorkel Tours

1. “I took the snorkeling tour with my girlfriend. I have snorkeled once, and this was her first time. She was very apprehensive of the ocean, the sea lions, and all the other critters underwater. The snorkeling guide held her hand throughout the whole hour we were snorkeling. This calmed her, and she was able to see all the wondrous ocean life.”   Tushan, San Diego 
2. “My husband and I are taking a three month cross country tour. One of our stops was in San Diego. We decided to do a snorkel tour. The water was very cold, but I kept warm by moving around a lot. The Snorkeling guide had his hands full with 6 of us. However he managed to show us a good time. He showed us all the fish, the sea lions, harbor seals, and horned sharks (harmless). We also went thru one of the caves. It was quite an experience! This will undoubtedly be one of the high points of our trip to San Diego.”   Annie, Texas    

Diving Tours

1. “I have dove all over the world, but never in San Diego. The diving guide was very knowledgeable of La Jolla cove. He made an effort to show me the underwater terrain that I have never seen before………mainly the kelp beds. They were fantastic. A bit scary, but a sight to see.”   Matt, Virginia

And we didn’t see much underwater because the current made everything murky. However, it was a great learning experience. I never did a shore dive, nor dive in cold water. Open Water Diver Course

2. Excellent guidance, and instruction!!! My daughter was PADI scuba certified by Lando at San Diego Scuba pros. He had patience with teaching the children and very knowledgeable. I felt confident in his ability to train and teach scuba . They did their first dive in the pool then to La Jolla Cove for their final dive. It was amazing! As Certified diver I was able to go along. It was so cool to see a whole new world open up to my daughter. They saw horned sharks, seals and so many cool animals. I highly recommend Lando and Scuba Pros! 4. I can't recommend Lando at San Diego Scuba Pros enough! As much as I wanted to join my husband in getting open water certified, I honestly didn't think I'd be able to do it. Rescue Diver Course

3. Recently I had the opportunity to assist in Lando's rescue class as a "victim" diver. As a diver with a lot of years of experience, I was wondering how this version of a rescue class would compare to the class I had and my own diver assistance/rescue experiences. I am pleased to say I feel that Lando taught the rescue class, affectionately known as "the toughest dive class you will ever take" in a way that encouraged and empowered his students to confidently face, to the best of their ability, the serious challenges a diver encounters when participating in diver assistance/rescue activities.
